My Thoughts:

This episode was funny but proves in just how hard it is to do a Scrubs episode without Zach Braff.  He isn’t seen at all but his voice is there the entire time. Ted is hilarious as always and I am glad to see he and Gooch are still together, as Ted keeps pointing out.  I figured that Turk and Carla were having another kid (spoilers), the show synopsis just confirmed it for me before the show ever started. No janitor? Honestly, this wasn’t my favorite episode but it was carried well without the Janitor and JD being there in person. What did everyone else think though?

My Great Moments:

  • Dr. Cox making fun of anyone..but especially Denise right off the bat.
  • Ted’s still dating Gooch and introducing her to everyone who didn’t believe he actually had a girlfriend. Excellent.
  • “girl balls”
  • Percival Ulysses Cox – outstanding name. Makes me wonder if the leak of the Janitor’s name was true.  (is is Percibal or Percival??)
  • Turk’s bloods (and pudding) stained Tiger scrubs

My Music:

Ending Song: Last Salutation by Randy Coleman

My Quotes:

Ted: Come on Gooch, there is like 75 other people you have met who don’t believe you exist.

Kelso: I have forgotten more about medicine than you two will ever know. (to Denise) I don’t know you but I assume I have you beat because you’re blond and rolling with Dr. reeks of beer.

Ted: Plus with all the cycling it appears I’ve done a real number on my sperm. Mine don’t have any tails. They’re just kind of blobs that roll from place to place.

Elliot: What are are you saying that if JD died I would just die right afterward?
Kelso: One can only hope.

Dr.Cox: Carla if you’re gonna get upset every time your husband does something stupid then your a re going to be upset every second of every minute, every minute of every hour, every hour of every day, every day… I was prepared to go to Century.

JD: (after a fantasy but on the phone) That’s why you should never trust a camel.

Ted: You know it’s new and exciting but when she dumps me and believe me it’s coming like a freight train, I’ll try to find a new gal, and if I do I probably won’t have that initial excitement that the first one did.

My Inside Scoop:

Another day at Sacred Heart and Dr. Cox is on rounds with the interns. After a very well crafted joke at Denise’s expense, he explains to the interns about a patient who is a potato and that since there is no chance of helping the guy he doesn’t want to be bothered with questions about him. Moving on. Denise ask Elliot if she has been drinking, seems that Elliot actually read to use beer as a part of shampoo, bad idea but good gag throughout the first part of the episode.  They visit Peggy, who has phenomena and recently lost her husband of 53 years. Looks like she should pull through. At lunch Elliot is on the phone with JD, he is on a mini vacation this episode so no face time from Zach this episode kids. Elliot is having lunch with Denise and Ted, the conversation quickly turns to relationships. Ted, now in a relationship, begins introducing people to Gooch, mostly because no one believed she existed.

Turk has awesome news, he was in surgery and the blood stain on his shirt looks like a Tiger, which would be awesome but Carla has bigger news, she is pregnant again. Turks runs the halls looking for JD to share the news with only to find he is on Vacation (seriously, how would Turk not know that!). Carla, despite telling Turk not to tell anyone, gets to celebrate with Elliot. Elliot tells JD about the baby on speaker phone and Turk overhears that is isn’t excited enough. Sunny (intern) finds Dr. Cox to see if they can keep the potato patient alive till his sister comes to see him. Dr. Cox answers by telling her how he likes potatoes and to ask Carla to help because she actually cares for people.

Kelso gives orders to Elliot and Denise about Peggy, because she is an old friend and he wants her taken care of since her husband died. Turk tells everyone about the baby and no one is really excited because it’s his second kid.  Sunny tried to get Carla to help her with the potato, and she says she will see what she can do. Elliot disturbs Kelso at lunch to talk about how much she misses JD, he doesn’t seem interested. Then Elliot get paged because Peggy just died.

After Ted introduces Gooch to Turk, Turks lies to her and tells her he and Carla are having their first baby. This way someone is excited with him.  Cox seems Sunny alone since Carla didn’t stay, he looks perplexed. Kelso and Elliot talk about Peggy. According to Kelso it’s not always the disease that kills, sometimes it’s losing your soul mate. He also says the Elliot is no different from Peggy when it comes to missing who they love. Meanwhile, Dr. Cox goes to find out why Carla bailed on Sunny. Seems Carla has quit caring.

The next day, Carla finds what a rough night Sunny had without any help and feels little bad. Elliot admits to Denise how much she misses JD and Gooch plays a song for Turk about having his first kid. Carla comes and Turk gets caught. Gooch get pretty mad. Carla can’t believe she left Sunny alone. Dr. Cox starts to apologize, Elliot apologizes to JD on the phone and Ted tells Turk to look out because he lied to Gooch. Turk only lied because he wasn’t excite enough about his new child and wanted some to be. Ted tried to give Turk advice using his new relationship as an example. It seems to make sense too. Dr. Cox and Carla talk about when people stop caring, Carla hates that she has stopped. He, Percival Ulysses Cox, says he is sorry. Elliot is upset because she let herself be so vulnerable with JD, Kelso tells her that’s dumb, that why relationships are termed “jumping in.”

Elliot calls JS, He goes on his philosophical ending though. Turk is excited with his daughter about her new sister. Carla decides to stay the next 6 hours with Sunny because she isn’t ready to give up on caring for people.

Don’t Miss the Credits:

Dr. Cox sits working in his office, then he begins to hear JD’s voice. He had Elliot hide him in his office. Dr. Cox frantically tears his office apart while having to listen to JD’s feelings and thoughts.
