Can I see a show of hands please? All those who completely despise seeing the words “To Be Continued…” please make yourselves known. If we only still had a full hour of Scrubs this wouldn’t be a problem. But I digress, Seems I can only really handle 1 island related show a night.
There was a lot of funny stuff here tonight. The brain trust was back and those scenes were awesome. I really wish I knew if the Janitor’s small rants were made up or scripted, either way…”with her the mop always came first”, oh my. Ted’s one liner pieces deliver so much humor it could be a show in itself. It could be called “Better Off Ted” but the show would be only 4 minutes long or so…well, seems that name is already taken. Oh well. Cox had some great zingers as well, and still got a few “JD is a girl” references in there. Classic.
Does anyone else feel like despite this being the Janitor’s wedding they are taking this somewhere with JD and Elliot? I just get that kind of vibe, there was job/life revelations from Elliot in My Full Moon and now all the I love you talk. Maybe it’s just me?
Any thoughts?
More to come after the jump.

A full moon and a healthy dose of bad luck bring Sacred Heart’s new crop of interns their roughest case load yet, while Elliot has a revelation about her future.
My Thoughts:
An Elliot and Turk centered episode with quite a bit of help from the Todd and the interns. No JD, No Janitor, No Dr. Cox or Jordan, No Kelso, No Ted, No Carla, that what helping the budget looks like, if only our government could learn…. I digress. The best thing about Scrubs though is the way they can mix in great comedy with some really tough emotional situations. The interns add a lot to the episode and give hope for the future, should the show continue, that even when there are only 2 main cast members present that there are still plenty of laughs. I think it’s fair to say though that should Scrubs go down that road that the Zach Braff style monologue won’t work. The episodes are different with out it and I doubt they could pass it off to any single character and make it work… maybe Ted… how funny.
The ending was a real set up in my opinion for how things could end with the show (especially with Elliot and JD). Discussion encouraged and did everyone like the ending song? I even downloaded it. Sweet tune. Scrubs music rocks.
What did everyone else think?
My Great Moments:
My Music:
Ending as Elliot and Turk talk WAZ – Hardly Enough
My Quotes:
Denise: That’s adorable, you have a crush on yourself.
Turk: It’s a ride with Nemo
more quotables coming soon.
Don’t Miss the Credits:
the Todd gives advice to get Howie to stop doing the high fives, “Find your own thing.”
But not the low arm pump…that’s taken.
Watch it here:
Mar 25th

Synopsis:
The hospital interns provide the senior staff with surprising insight, and an extraordinary moment occurs when Cox shows J.D. some long overdue respect.
My Thoughts:
Wow. Really good episode. Much better than My Nah Nah Nah and My Comedy Show, the previous two eps. At first I felt bad for JD because of his new role, but seeing as he has let it go to his head I think he will be ok. The time with the new interns was really good. Their stories played well and Derrick is a very cool addition, honestly they were interesting enough that they might be good alone, as in their own show if you get my drift. Time will tell I suppose. Which is the weird thing because the new is out that Zach is leaving but on the Ellen interview he makes a comment about “if he leaves”…what gives. I digress.
Dr. Cox’s first rant to JD had me rolling…though I couldn’t write it down fast enough so I’ll have to wait till I can watch it again. I know the Janitor adlibs a lot of lines but I wonder how much is scripted and how much is pure Neil Flynn comedy genius. I want a remote control Artificial Intelligence cleaning cart! Where was Ted, oh well, I’m still loving this episode. I won’t say it was the best of the season but very close so far.
Am I alone on this, what did everyone else think?
Mar 19th

Synopsis:
Turk gets an idea about a risky procedure from watching Sports Center that may restore a paralyzed teenager’s ability to walk.
My Thoughts:
This episode snuck up on me like I’m sure it did a lot of people. It’s the first new episode since the time shift, and a good one too. I’ll admit that I wasn’t that impressed with My Comedy Show, and honestly I still thought this episode was pretty flat. The title that seemed like a 5th grader made it up, thought it made sense one Sports Center was mentioned.
Above everything the whole nobody caring about Elliot and JD gag was great. The comedy was a little sparse but overall was good. The Jordan/Dr. Cox story line made sense but seemed more like a filler than important content. In fact, I was almost half way through the episode before I concluded it actually was a new episode.
I suppose overall, I just wasn’t that impressed. And as always, I miss it when Ted isn’t in there…that man is comedy genius. What did everyone else think?

I’ll be posting the recap of My Nah Nah Nah tonight. I think I’ll also skip a full recap of the episodes for a while and instead try providing streaming versions of the eps (courtesy of casttv.com). feel free to discuss the ep here or wait for the recap which should be up shortly!

Feb 10th

Synopsis:
J.D. and Turk organize their historically unfunny annual sketch show with the new crop of interns.
My Thoughts:
Don’t know if I just set the bar too high after last weeks episodes but My Comedy show wasn’t that impressive. Listen there were some really funny moments. The Janitor and Carla story line was seemed like it was just filling time. I was even more disappointed in the outcome of that story line, if that can even make sense. Also, the ending seemed to come out of nowhere…very rushed. I hate to gripe on My Comedy Show too much because I did laugh and fun was had by all, but overall…it could have been better. Was I the only one that felt this way?
Feb 10th

Synopsis:
Dr. Cox has a rare moment of conscience while J.D. takes a brief respite from work at the hospital. Meanwhile, Turk and Carla share some big news.

My Thoughts:
This episode was funny but proves in just how hard it is to do a Scrubs episode without Zach Braff. He isn’t seen at all but his voice is there the entire time. Ted is hilarious as always and I am glad to see he and Gooch are still together, as Ted keeps pointing out. I figured that Turk and Carla were having another kid (spoilers), the show synopsis just confirmed it for me before the show ever started. No janitor? Honestly, this wasn’t my favorite episode but it was carried well without the Janitor and JD being there in person. What did everyone else think though?

My Thoughts:
An episode with lots of Ted, Awesome. This and My New Role are possibly the best two back to backs all season, if not two of the best eps in a long time. Despite missing the Todd, Turk & Elliot, Ted & the Janitor carried the comedy extremely well. Ted deserved a good story line and got one, I hope to see more of he and Stephanie Gooch, they make a good couple. There has been a ton of character development with Dr. Cox over the past few episodes, who knew you could still do that in your 8th season? Plus I’m glad Ed is gone (he says so on his blog), I like him as an actor but as the character, needed to happen.
Feb 3rd

Synopsis:
When Dr. Cox becomes overwhelmed in his new role as Chief of Medicine, he does the unthinkable and reaches out to Dr. Kelso for friendship

My Thoughts:
Strong Episode. Funny and emotional in ways. It’s really cool to see all the characters take on their new roles and especially how JD and Dr. Cox have to start interacting. It’s such a starch contrast form the teacher/mentor relationship they had. Now JD will probably never get that hug. Ted and the Janitor are hilarious. Seriously good stuff. This is Scrubs at it’s best.

The question: Will Scrubs continue past Season 8 without Zach Braff?
The answer: is now officially….wait for it… No.
What to do now? Enjoy the rest of the season and stock up on Scrubs Season DVDs is the best advice I can give you.
Seems the show’s creator Bill Lawrence was at his alma mater, The College of William and Mary, and let it be known that Scrubs would be over after Season 8.
from the dailypress
Lawrence said he and lead actor Zach Braff decided to leave, and that the “Scrubs” cast knew that would mean the end of the series. “Scrubs” recently moved from NBC to ABC, but Lawrence indicated that the move was not a factor in the decision to end the series.
There was also some very cool info about the Janitor, such as the fact that the janitor only spoke to J.D. in the first season because he was originally supposed to be a figment of J.D.’s imagination. What else did he talk about? Seems we will know the Janitor’s real name? Curious? Keep reading for the possible spoiler.
