Jesus loves geeks

Synopsis:
Elliot and J.D. struggle to find the spark in their newfound romance, and Dr. Cox reluctantly considers accepting the job as the hospital’s recently vacated Chief of Medicine.
[ad] Empty ad slot (#1)!
After My ABC’s I felt the show needed a bit of redemption. I mean the interns in the last one were such pricks that it just makes you mad. This episode was that redemption in some ways. Lot’s of funny stuff (though no Ted and Carla) and despite the fact I don’t think Elliot and JD should end up together, I will admit they were good together in this episode (must …fight… changing…mind…)

Synopsis:
J.D. learns the hard way that not even Elmo can teach the gift of compassion to those who don’t care to learn (Sesame Workshop’s "Muppets" guest star).
[ad] Empty ad slot (#1)!
My Thoughts:
I used to love ‘the Street’ but the Muppet cameos seemed a bit forced. Overall it was a descent episode. Nothing just amazing but solid. Was anyone else just a little disturbed by Elmo’s sexual advances to Denise? While funny it, it killed my childhood thoughts of innocence surrounding the show.

So glad you asked. If you have ever watched the TV show How I Met Your Mother you would probably know that Barney (a character on the show) had commissioned an “Awesomeness Poster” to be made. On the poster, the motivational phrase was “When I get sad, I just stop being sad and be awesome instead. True Story.” I was sad, because this became my motto to live by but I could not find the poster anywhere. So I commissioned my own to be made. You can find it here. If you want even more information on this amazing poster check out this article on Barney’s Awesomeness Motivational Poster.

Synopsis: New sparks of an old romance are ignited between J.D. and Elliot when they work together to encourage to Dr. Kelso to branch out beyond the hospital coffee shop to find his new happy place. My Thoughts: While not a homage to Happy Gilmore (man I love that movie), My Happy place is a pretty descent episode. I’m not sure how much I like 2 new eps back to back, sometimes it’s too much to sink in. Ted is awesome as always. You can see where this episode is going right from the start and unfortunately for me I am in the smaller 1/4 of Scrubs fans who think Elliot and JD should NOT get back together. I’ll post more on this later but I will reserve my judgment to see how it plays out. Also, on the trivia side notice who was not in this episode? If you guessed Carla you were right.
Jan 13th
Synopsis:
Desperate times call for desperate measures when lifelong adversaries Drs. Kelso and Cox ally to oust Dr. Maddox (guest starring Courteney Cox) from Sacred Heart, while Carla makes it her mission to take a self-centered, incompetent intern down a notch.
My Thoughts:
While my wife disagreed, I liked this episode of Scrubs. Dr. Maddox’s part was played well enough to really make it and I really dug the way Carla was giving advice while an actual version of her warning were seen coming to a point. My only complaint was there wasn’t enough Ted. Also I see why they call Neil Flynn the “go to guy” on Scrubs, he is absolutely hilarious. I also thought there might be a funny gag with the doctor that kept dressing like Elliot but it kind of just stopped early in the episode, maybe it will come back later. Trivia time, notice any Turk in this episode?
Jan 6th

Synopsis:
J.D. and Turk set aside their decade-long steak night tradition to comfort a dying patient, while Dr. Maddox(guest starring Courteney Cox)begins to show her true colors.
My Thoughts:
Scrubs took no time reminding us why they ARE one of the best shows on television. You see the great thing about Scrubs is that despite being extremely funny all the time they can throw the emotional part on at any time. This episode had it all and despite not including all characters as much it was still excellent. I mean if they had done any more it would have to be an hour long or so. So what did you like/dislike?

Face it, if you are a Scrubs fan then last year was rough. NBC cut the Season short and tried to make the world hate Scrubs with the “finale” fiasco. Have no fear though because ABC has saved the day and Scrubs Season 8 is upon us. Check here all season for Scrubs episode recaps and reviews!

Synopsis:
“My Jerks,” Dr. Kelso’s beautiful but unethical replacement, Dr. Maddox (played by guest star Courteney Cox), shakes things up at Sacred Heart, while J.D. struggles to manage a new crop of incompetent interns and Carla helps Elliott put her ego in check. You will notice I start the bulk of the segment categories with the word “My”…I only do this because that is how all the eps are titled, and I am to tired to be more cleaver.
My Thoughts:
Really great way to start of Season 8. Not sure if Courteney Cox really sold me on the Chief of Medicine part but she was still quite funny and came in strong. The bed balloon bit had me cracking up all show long and I just can’t get enough of Ted (Sam Lloyd). When he cried out “My Balloon”, I nearly fell on the floor. And Turk is 1/8 Japanese?

Just saw that Bill Lawrence (the creator and brilliant mind behind the show) has blog on ABC. He posted something today called Premiere Day. It’s well worth the read either before or after you watch the Scrubs Season 8 premiere.
To tempt you more here are some clips from his post. Also note he mentions that his wife, Christa Miller (Jordan), will be posting later tonight.
Man, I’d like the show to do well tonight. I haven’t really followed ratings for a long while, but I guess I’d like NBC to feel stupid. Still, Zach and I laughed because we wouldn’t be surprised if the ratings are the same they always are, even with all the promotion.
*side note…I predict ratings go up.
Also… he goes on a short rant on “haters”…they deserve it if you asked me. It’s tough putting yourself out there like they do. Anyhow.
Also, Bill shares a short spoiler… see if you can spot it. Also, you can get lot more in my Scrubs Season 8 Spoiler post.
And SCRUBS (though I’ve said too much on this topic before) wouldn’t go forward unless it was based around existing regulars. If any Haters dislike the "I really want to &@$#* you" duet sung by Ted and his (spoiler) girlfriend, then I have lost track of what’s funny.

This is not so much a Scrubs Season 8 Spoiler…though they have been getting updated, have you noticed?…but, Kristin from E!Online had some small scoops on Scrubs 8th Season and said:
Don’t miss the credits! They might be the best part of the entire episode. The writers take some cleverly disguised jabs at their lack of awards recognition, and it is priceless.
Season 8 will Premier on ABC on January 6th at 8:00pm CST, but there should be a webisode featuring the new interns interns sometime on January 1st at ABC.com. The webisodes will focus on the newest interns at Sacred Heart Hospital, and will introduce their characters before Season Eight begins.
And remember! DON”T MISS THE CREDITS!

Seems everyone has the same lame spoilers for Season 8 of Scrubs. Things that I don’t even consider as spoilers, like how many episodes and who the guest stars will be. In case your curious:
However, seems some places have gotten their hands on some real spoilers for Season 8. I will continue to update this post as more spoilers roll around. And don’t hate me…I love reading the end of the book first.
!!WARNING!! Do not continue if you don’t want to know. *updated – 2.3.09
